Summary: Had a fantastic tour of Tikal with guide Roel. He knows way more than the standard facts you can look up. Ask him anything about all things Mayan past and present. Not to mention what you’re seeing in the jungle. The logistics were super smooth: driver from Antigua to Guatemala City, flight to Flores, drive to Tikal including fun stop along the way. I recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and enlightening adventure.

Summary: Tikal was absolutely incredible! Our guide was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made the history come alive. The site exceeded my expectations, with stunning temples, amazing wildlife, and my favorite—the unforgettable calls of the Howler Monkeys. We even climbed to the top for breathtaking photos. Lunch was delicious with a choice of protein, and while the weather was hotter than other parts of Guatemala, it was worth every moment. Highly recommend!

Summary: Let's take a day trip to the Guatemalan jungle. The day started with an early morning flight. The tour guide pick me at arrivals and took me for a typical Guatemalan breakfast. Afterwards, we drove for a couple of hours to Tikal National Park with a couple of stops tickets and ponchos. As we arrived, we were met by a snake crossing the road. As we walked through the park you can hear the howler monkeys in the distance as the spider monkeys are feasting in the trees. We passed a massive tree Yashay de Maya, which is known for connecting to the ancestors, voices and spirits. One reason I enjoy taking tours rather than going off on my own is the knowledge and background information one obtains. Our guide Roel from @tikalgo explained a bunch of information in English and Spanish. He answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable throughout our day. I also enjoyed getting to know people and making connections like with my tour mates Jennifer and Jose. As we continued the trek through the kingdom, I was just in awe of all the structures the Mayans developed. It is truly iconic. During lunch, we were watched a group of coaties passing us. I thought they were monkeys. After the tour we headed to Flores and Santa Elena, it started to rain so we spent the last few moments in @RestauranteMaracuyá. We enjoyed some cheese cake and cocktails before headind back to the airport. Such a great experience.

Summary: During my summer vacation in Guatemala, I knew there was no way I was gonna leave the country without visiting Tikal. Tikal Go, is the company i chose to get me there and back again. They made all the pre-arrangements for our flight to flores and back to guatemala city. Everything started fine enough, our flight leaving promptly from G-C at 5:45am and arriving at 6:45am in flores. We stopped at a delicious eatery for breakfast (own expense) and then went on to Tikal itself. Our guide Nathaniel was fantastic, I myself being a lover of history had many a question for him and Nathan was more than willing to extensively answer my inquiries. Tikal was breathtaking and we savored every minute alotted to our tour. After our included lunch inside the Tikal reserve itself, we were driven back to Tikal Go's headquarters were we were given time to wander around the island. Nathaniel recommend a rooftop bar to kill time and that's were spent our afternoon until our tram ride back to the airport. Now this is were things started to go sideways, our flight was originally supposed to be at 8:45pm having us back in G-C by 9:45pm. Our flight was pushed back to 11:30pm last minute and I mean literally last minute. Then got pushed back again to 12:30am, yeah wow. I won't ding Tikal Go for this run of bad luck but i sincerely hope I never have to fly with tag airlines again. We ended up getting to our hotel around 2am. A horrible end to an amazing day. However the memories of our time in Tikal will be with me until my end days.

Summary: My trip would not have been the same had I not gone out of the way to visit the ruins at Tikal. It's definitely worth spending the extra cost, time, and effort to make it out to Tikal. Spent most of my trip to Guatemala in Antigua and flew out to Flores for this must see attraction. Truly incomprehensible sights. It really does feel like you're traveling back in time. My guide Melvin was phenomenal and you could tell he truly knew the history of the ruins. I had the bad luck of running into closed roads due to a death resulting from a traffic accident. Despite being held back an hour, Melvin was able to catch us up on the tour without missing anything and back in time to Flores for lunch. If you're in Guatemala, I highly recommend visiting here.

Summary: I loved getting to go to Tikal as a day trip - our guide had a lot of really cool knowledge to share and the tour was extensive so we got to see a lot more of the park than I expected. The food included was also well worth it.

Summary: Tour was organized by Tikal Go. They were great; really well organized. They booked our round trip flights from and back to Guatemala City, met us at Flores Airport, drove us to and escorted us through Tikal, and then drove us back to the airport after we had about 90 minutes to explore Flores. The only change I’d have made would be taking that extra 90 minutes in Tikal.
